All profit made from this collection of hammers will be divided equally and donated to the following three locally based charities, each prioritizing recovery efforts to those areas of western NC decimated by Hurricane Helene.

• Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina
• Asheville Humane Society

Antique hammers with original wood handles, each a laser-engraved homage to my beloved NC.  These tools look every bit their age, are full of history, are not refaced, and show ever mark that time, use and utility have left on them.

Each hammer has been chosen thoughtfully. They've been cleaned with wood soap, cleared of rust, lightly sanded, engraved at 675 lined per inch with designes symbolizing the strength and spirit of The Old North State, then oiled and buffed to bring out the intrinsic character of the wood. They're solid, sturdy, and well-made with stable heads and steel wedges firmly in place. They are not pristine. 

Polish the faces if you want.  Leave them rough and use them for center punching, stamping, disc-cutting, texturing.  Hang them on the wall.  Leave them on your dry bench in your studio that still stands, and know you've helped another. Whatever you choose to do with them, I hope they evoke an appreciate for the lives they've lived, the hands that held them, and the things they once built.

It is my hope that they can now serve as a symbol for what can- and will- be rebuilt.
